Pelvic Health

Pelvic Health Physical Therapy focuses on the muscles, joints, and connective tissues of the pelvis, lower back, and hips. This specialized care is designed to address dysfunction, reduce pain, and restore confidence in your daily activities.

Treatment plans are highly individualized and may focus on strengthening or relaxing the pelvic floor muscles, improving core stability, and enhancing overall function, including bladder, bowel, and sexual function.

Conditions & Symptoms We Treat

  • Pelvic health concerns are more common than many people realize, and they can affect both women and men at any stage of life. We commonly treat:
  • Urinary leakage during activity (coughing, running, lifting)
  • Urinary urgency or frequent urination
  • Pelvic organ prolapse
  • Abdominal, pelvic, or low back pain
  • Pregnancy and postpartum concerns (including diastasis recti and core weakness)
  • Birth preparation
  • Pain or discomfort with intimacy (sexual dysfunction)
  • Constipation
  • Fecal incontinence
  • Post-surgical conditions (such as prostatectomy, hernia repair, or abdominal surgery)

What to Expect

Your first visit is a comprehensive, one-on-one evaluation tailored to you. We’ll take time to understand your full medical history and how your symptoms impact your daily life.
This may include discussion of:

  • Medical history
  • Nutrition and hydration habits
  • Bladder and bowel patterns
  • Exercise routine
  • Lifestyle factors

We’ll also assess posture, movement patterns, and the strength and coordination of your pelvic floor, core, and hip muscles. When appropriate and only with your consent, an internal exam may be performed to provide a more detailed assessment.

You’re Not Alone, and You Don’t Have to Live With It

Many pelvic health symptoms are common, but that doesn’t mean they’re normal or something you have to live with. With the right care, improvement is possible.
At STAR Performance and Concierge, we provide a private, supportive environment where you can feel comfortable discussing sensitive concerns and confident in your care plan.
